# Connect IQRush to ChatGPT

> Create IQRush as a custom MCP app in ChatGPT, sign in, and ask questions about your projects.

ChatGPT connects to IQRush through a custom MCP app that points at the IQRush server URL. Once connected, ChatGPT can retrieve live measurements for the projects you can access.

## Before you start

* An IQRush account with at least one completed run.
* A ChatGPT account and workspace that allow custom MCP apps. Developer mode, or approval from a workspace administrator, may be required. If the option is missing, check [OpenAI's current requirements](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/12584461-developer-mode-and-mcp-apps-in-chatgpt).

## Connect IQRush

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Apps** and choose the option to create an app.

2. Name the app **IQRush**.

3. Paste the server URL:

   ```text theme={null}
   https://api.prod.gso.iqrush.ai/api/mcp/mcp
   ```

4. Confirm the acknowledgement and create the app.

5. Sign in to IQRush when prompted and approve access.

Use the URL from **Settings → MCP → Connect** in the environment that holds your projects. A Dev environment uses a different URL and different data.

The IQRush tools appear in ChatGPT's tool picker after you sign in. Start a new conversation if they do not appear straight away, and make sure the app is enabled in that conversation.

## Check the connection

In a new chat, ask: "Use IQRush to show me my projects." ChatGPT should return your project list. Choose a project to run your first report.

## Try asking

* "Use IQRush to show me my projects."
* "What is our citation share on the latest run?"
* "Show the trend in our mention rate across all runs this quarter."
* "Run a drift diagnostic. What changed between the last two runs?"
